Window Perf Installation Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling or accepting a Window Perf installation from Mr. Postman Print Shop, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions.
2. Installation Requirements
- The installation surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust, debris, oil, or wax before installation.
- If the surface is not properly prepared, Mr. Postman Print Shop is not responsible for adhesion issues.
- The customer must inform us of any window treatments, tints, or coatings that may affect adhesion.
3. Large Window Installations & Overlapping
- For windows larger than the available print width, panels may need to be overlapped. This overlap is necessary to ensure complete coverage and alignment.
- Seams from overlapping panels may be visible but are a standard part of large-format installations.
- We will always prioritize lining up the graphics over avoiding a slight V or A shape of the overlap.
4. Trimming & Edge Clearance
- Some trimming may be required for a precise fit. Edges will be trimmed to allow a small clearance gap to prevent peeling and ensure a clean finish.
- Window Perf is not designed to cover rubber seals or non-glass surfaces, as adhesion may be compromised.
5. Air Bubbles & Installation Imperfections
- Small bubbles, minor imperfections, or slight misalignments may occur and are considered normal for Window Perf installations. We do take care to pop bubbles at the time of installation.
- Window Perf is a temporary signage material, and slight variations do not affect its intended purpose.
- Over time, minor bubbles may settle as the adhesive cures.
- Unnoticed bubbles at the time of installation may become larger due to expanding air during hot weather. You can pop these bubbles with a sewing needle, safety pin, or other sharp tool and express the air with your finger.
6. Visibility and Intended Viewing Distance
- Window Perf is designed to be viewed from a distance, typically by pedestrians or passing vehicles.
- Close-up scrutiny may reveal minor imperfections such as seams, trimming marks, or small bubbles, but these do not impact the overall effectiveness of the signage.
- The one-way visibility effect works best during daylight. At night, interior lighting may reduce privacy.
7. Durability and Maintenance
- With proper care, Window Perf can last 5-7 years, depending on exposure to sunlight, weather, and cleaning methods.
- Cleaning Instructions: Use mild soap and water with a soft cloth. Avoid power washing, harsh chemicals, or scraping, as these can damage the material.
- Window Perf is not reusable after removal.
8. Warranty & Liability
- Mr. Postman Print Shop guarantees proper installation at the time of service but does not guarantee longevity due to weather exposure, surface conditions, or improper maintenance.
- Any defects in printing or material must be reported within 48 hours of installation for evaluation.
- Mr. Postman Print Shop is not responsible for damages to glass, window tint, or treatments due to adhesive application or removal.
9. Removal of Window Perf
- Window Perf is designed to be removable; however, older applications may leave adhesive residue that requires additional cleaning.
- Mr. Postman Print Shop does not provide removal services unless arranged separately for an additional fee.
How to Measure Your Windows for Window Perf Graphics
Accurate measurements are key to ensuring a perfect fit for your custom window perf graphics. While we can come out to measure perf for our local market, including Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Brunswick, New Hanover, and Horry counties, you do have the option of sending measurements to us for a quote. Perhaps you will want to install it yourself!
Follow these simple steps to get the best results:
- Gather Your Tools – You’ll need a tape measure, graph paper [download and print this free graph paper PDF], a pencil, and your smartphone for photos.
- Sketch Your Windows – Draw a rough outline of your window section and label each area for easy reference (e.g., “Front Office,” “Gym Entrance,” or “Lobby Windows”).
- Measure Each Window Panel – Measure the height and width of each window panel individually. Be sure to measure only the visible glass—do not include the rubber seals or window frames.
- Measure the Trim – If there is trim or space between multiple windows, measure those areas as well to ensure proper alignment of your graphics.
- Double-Check Everything – Accuracy is important! Re-measure to confirm your numbers before submitting.
- Take a Clear Photo – Snap a well-lit photo of the entire window section from a straight-on angle.
