Their fellowship hall featured interior windows that were transformed into breathtaking, sunlit works of art with the help of custom translucent vinyl.
The church wanted to bring the elegance and inspiration of stained glass to their fellowship hall, but traditional stained glass wasn’t a practical option. That’s where we stepped in with translucent vinyl—a versatile material that allows light to shine through while showcasing vibrant, detailed designs.
We printed high-resolution graphics inspired by traditional stained glass motifs, incorporating rich colors and intricate patterns. To ensure the designs remained vivid and vibrant when backlit by sunlight, we used our advanced Mimaki JV100-160 ecosolvent printer with a double-ink overprinting process. This technique layers extra ink to enhance the depth and richness of the colors when illuminated.
Once printed, the vinyl was laminated to add durability and a polished finish. Our installation team carefully applied the vinyl to the interior side of the fellowship hall windows, ensuring a flawless, seamless result.
When the sunlight streams through the windows, the vinyl designs glow just like real stained glass. The effect is nothing short of stunning, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the fellowship hall that perfectly complements the church’s mission and spirit.
