At Mr. Postman Print Shop, we believe that every school deserves a space that inspires students, staff, and visitors alike. That’s why we were honored to collaborate with the Columbus County School system to create large ACM murals for every school in the district. From Elementary to Middle and High Schools, this project was all about celebrating school pride while reinforcing the shared mission and vision of the county’s education system.
Design and Concept
The murals were thoughtfully designed to feature each school’s mascot alongside a word wall collage inspired by the Columbus County School system’s mission and vision statements. These collages incorporated powerful and inspiring words that reflect the district’s commitment to excellence, community, and learning. Each mural was not only a visual masterpiece but also a daily reminder of the values that unite the schools.
Printing and Materials
We used 3mm ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panels for this project, chosen for their durability, lightweight nature, and ability to showcase vibrant colors. The murals were printed on our Mimaki JFX200 UV flatbed printer, ensuring sharp, high-quality graphics that are built to last. The smallest murals measured 8×4 feet, while the majority of schools received impressive 8×16-foot murals, created by combining four 8×4 panels seamlessly.
Installation Process
Once the murals were printed and prepped, our team handled the entire installation process. This included careful placement and alignment of the panels to ensure a professional and polished final result. The seamless integration of the murals into each school’s space was key to making them both functional and visually impactful.
